Little Billy Richardson's (tha'st what everyone at Chapultepec GolF Club called him which my Paternal grandfather founded)  father William Richadson ran Citibank Mexico Branch during the 30's, 40's and 50's. When Mexico's Peisdent  Cardenas  ordered all foreign banks to shut down in the mid '30s, Citibank's GM William Richardson  refused to shut down Citibank's five Mexico City Pso bank branches and was allowed to continue as the sole foreign bank operating Mexican bank branches.  My Dad in the late 30's quit his job as GM of Phllips Radio in Mexico and asked Wm Richadson who was a frtiend of the family for a loan to set up his own electronic business.   Wm Richarson Sr.kindly gave him the loan whcih my father paid back a year later from my Father's new successful cmpany Trans Radio Disc that became the Mexico representative for many American electronics and stereo music comanies including Ampex tape recorders, Fisher AM-FM radio tuners and McIntosh music amplifiers.--Horace Whittlesey
