Rick Sheridan

I left Mexico in '63 to join the US Navy. Served for 5½ years, then after 3 years as a machinist, reenlisted into the Seabees. Married Carla Walton in '68, who gifted me with two wonderful children. My service in the Navy saw me traveling to the far east, Midway Island, Diego Garcia, Guam, Antarctica, and Guantanamo, Cuba. My twilight tour was here in Jacksonville, FL where I retired. I took a second career in a local school district, during which Carla and I went separate ways. I married my current lady, Vivien Gibbs, in '96, and retired from the school district in '07, after twenty years. We are comfortable, traveling often and participating in buckskinning rendezvous's. While at home I enjoy wood working and quality time with excellent friends.

My father was born in Mexico, of Irish extraction. My mother was his second wife, born in Connecticut. They met while my mom visited her Dad who was an electrical engineer working for PanAm.
