Estanislao Field

Anthony Stevens is the pen name of Estanislao (Stan) Field, who has written and published alternate history, urban fantasy and paranormal romances stories. He considers himself a bit of a bard and can usually be talked into sharing a tale or two at the drop of a hat.
He often refers to himself as a technogeek olde pharte with a wide variety of life experiences. Although currently employed as a Geek Squad Agent, he's worked in a variety of industries including stints teaching computer history at the Florida Institute of Technology, teaching English in a business college in Mexico City and as a technical writer, graphic designer for several high-technology firms, and electronic security analyst for the US House of Representatives.
Besides writing, his interests include photography, space exploration, model railroads, steam engines of all types, history and computer graphics. He's been reading one or two novels a week since elementary school.
Anthony is also a huge fan of Free and Open Source Software since he hates the idea of putting any more money into the pockets of either Bill Gates or Steven Jobs.

AHS save my life! I had totally given up on a backward high school in northern Indiana where the only goal was turning out housewives and steelworkers. Since I didn't want to be either one, I dropped out and my grandparents took me to Mexico and enrolled me in AHS. It was the best thing that ever happened to me.

I was invited to be a tourist guide for several high school groups from the US. Also got into the pits at the Mexican Gran Prix with my school press card. Even managed a lap of the Magdalena Mixhuca before they figured out I didn't have a driver's license. I rode the narrow-gauge steam trains from San Lazaro out to Texcoco and another time, to Popo Parque.

My grandfather owned some apartment buildings in Colonia Federal (out near the airport) and I commuted at least an hour each way to AHS. I became intimately familiar with the bus and trolley system back in the 60s.
